Water Conservation

Protecting precious water for the future

Water is essential for life and central to our business. While it is renewable, only about 0.01% of Earth's water is fresh. Global issues like population growth, economic development, and climate change are increasingly impacting water resources.

Water Source Conservation

Connecting Water to the Future Sustainably

Water source conservation involves protecting groundwater and rivers. We focus on sustainably preserving natural water sources through forest protection, tree planting, soil conservation, and supporting regional water cycles. These efforts ensure high-quality water for the future and safeguard local ecosystems.

Forest Conservation Initiatives

Protecting ecosystems for future generations

Integrating forest and water resource conservation ensures environmental sustainability. Healthy forests replenish groundwater and support local ecosystems, while effective water management stabilizes forest health. This cyclical relationship is crucial for overall environmental well-being, making an integrated approach to conservation more effective.

1.Forest conservation

Forests are key to water source conservation. They have a natural filtration function for water and help replenish groundwater. We support forest conservation activities by donating 1 yen for each bottle of HAVARY’S to domestic forest associations. This contributes to the protection, regeneration, and proper management of forests.

2.Tree planting activities

We regularly collaborate with local communities to hold tree planting activities. By planting new trees, we expand forested areas and contribute to water source conservation. This also helps prevent soil erosion and promotes biodiversity protection.

3.Soil conservation

To protect forest soils, we implement techniques and methods to prevent erosion. Along with proper land management, we promote rainwater infiltration to support the replenishment of groundwater.

4.Supporting Local Water Cycles

To support local water cycle systems, we collaborate with local residents and organizations to promote projects that secure clean water. This effort helps ensure that regional water sources remain stable and reliable.

1. Recycling of Paper Packs

Used paper packs are recycled into toilet paper. Through recycling, paper packs are transformed into new resources, reducing waste and minimizing the raw materials needed to produce new paper products. This process contributes to the protection of forest resources and indirectly supports water source conservation.

2. Zero Emission Factory

The entire recycling process is conducted in a zero-emission factory. This ensures that emissions from the factory are eliminated, preventing air and water pollution. By adopting environmentally friendly manufacturing processes, we minimize the impact on the ecosystem.

3. Advanced Water Treatment

The water used in the factory undergoes advanced treatment and is returned to the sewer system in a clean state. The treated water is restored to nature in a reusable condition, contributing to the protection of water sources. This approach helps prevent potential environmental contamination from wastewater treatment and supports the maintenance of local water quality.
